General and Cosmetic Dentistry

Bonding

Bonding is a simple procedure that can be used to correct a number of minor dental flaws. Using tooth-colored composite resin material, our dentists can painlessly:

  • Repair cracks and decay in the teeth
  • Close unwanted gaps between the teeth
  • Remove stains and discolorations
  • Build up short or uneven teeth to correct the bite

In many cases, bonding can be performed in just one appointment.

Bridges
Our dentists and dental specialists will recommend a dental bridge to those who are missing one or more of their natural teeth. These non-removable dental appliances are used to improve the function of the bite and the beauty of your smile. Using two dental crowns placed on the teeth adjacent to the gap, we will create a lateral tooth bridge that matches the shape, size, and color of your natural teeth. It takes just a few appointments to receive your custom bridge. Once complete, you will enjoy the benefits of a healthy, beautiful smile again!

If you are missing teeth, a dental bridge may be right for you.

Crowns

A crown (or dental cap) is a dental restoration, typically made of porcelain or another tooth-colored material, which encases the entire surface of the tooth. This is done to restore a tooth to an ideal shape, size, and color. The dentists and dental specialists at Arlington Center for Dentistry may recommend a crown for one or more of the following reasons:

  • To restore a broken, fractured, or decayed tooth
  • To protect a weakened or root-canal treated tooth
  • As part of a dental bridge
  • As part of a dental implant
  • To enhance the cosmetic appeal of your smile

Crowns are an effective option for many patients looking to restore their oral health and/or enhance their smile.

Dentures

For those who are missing one or more teeth, Arlington Center for Dentistry offers both complete and partial dentures. Partial dentures, or just “partials,” are created for those who have some natural teeth remaining in the mouth, while complete dentures are designed for those who are missing all of their natural teeth. Whether you are missing one tooth or all of your teeth, dentures can play an important part in keeping your mouth in good form. Our complete and partial dentures are created to effectively restore the function, health, and beauty of your mouth, so that you can eat, chew, speak, and smile normally once again.

Extractions

At Arlington Center for Dentistry, we always aim to help you maintain optimal oral health. Sometimes, to maintain your oral health, it becomes necessary to extract (pull) a significantly damaged, cracked, or decayed tooth. Before deciding on extraction, it is very important to consult with one of our experienced dentists. They will be able to determine if the tooth needs to be extracted or if another treatment, such as root canal therapy, can be used to restore your oral health.

Fillings

For teeth that have minor flaws, such as small cracks, chips, or decay, our dentists and dental specialists will often place either a composite or porcelain dental filling. Composite and porcelain fillings are tooth-colored and can restore both the function and the beauty of your smile. Your tooth-colored filling can be placed in a single appointment, where the dentist will remove the compromised portion of the teeth, clean the tooth, and then place your tooth-colored filling.

Veneers

Porcelain veneers are designed to give you the beautiful, radiant smile that you deserve. These thin, tooth-colored shells are bonded to the front of your teeth by one of our experienced cosmetic dentists. Once in place, veneers will enhance your smile and remove many dental flaws, including:

  • Stained or discolored teeth
  • Gaps between the teeth
  • Teeth with chips or cracks
  • Teeth that are crooked, poorly shaped, or disproportionate

We invite you to call Arlington Center for Dentistry today to learn more about cosmetic dentistry and custom veneers. When you’re ready, we will also schedule your consultation with one of our dentists or dental specialists so that you can begin improving your smile today!

Pediatric Dentistry

At Arlington Center for Dentistry, we understand that having a healthy smile is very important for patients of all ages, including children! When you bring your children for their first appointments, we will help them learn how to effectively establish good oral health techniques, including daily flossing and brushing. These techniques will help your child achieve lifelong oral health and a beautiful smile.

Familiarizing your children with the dentist’s office at an early age can help them avoid dental anxieties and costly dental problems in the future. We invite you to schedule your child’s next appointment at our office today. You can rest assured that our caring dentists and dental team will do everything possible to ensure that they remain comfortable, safe, and happy throughout their entire visit.

Orthodontics

Invisalign

If you are looking for a discreet, effective alternative to traditional metal braces, consider Invisalign. Invisalign is an innovative orthodontic treatment option that uses a series of nearly invisible removable aligners to straighten your teeth. These comfortable, easy-to-use appliances will provide gentle pressure over an extended period of time to correct the alignment of your teeth and give you the beautiful smile you have always wanted. Invisalign can effectively solve:

  • Tooth misalignment
  • Gaps between the teeth
  • Crowding of the teeth
  • Crossbite
  • Problems such as an overbite or an under-bite

We invite you to call the experts at Arlington Center for Dentistry today to learn more about Invisalign and discover if removable aligner therapy is right for you and your needs. We’ll be happy to schedule your consultation with our experienced orthodontist!

Lingual Braces

Lingual braces, another invisible orthodontic treatment option, are similar to traditional metal braces, except they are placed on the backside of the teeth. This makes them appear invisible when you smile.  Lingual braces are the only type of fixed or non-removable braces available that are truly non-visible.

At Arlington Center for Dentistry, we will customize your lingual braces to comfortably fit the size and shape of your teeth. If you are looking to effectively straighten your teeth through non-removable orthodontics, please call our office today to learn more about lingual braces and their many benefits.

Endodontics

Root Canal Therapy

If the soft, inner nerve of a tooth becomes infected or decayed, a root canal may be necessary to restore its health and function. At Arlington Center for Dentistry, we can perform your root canal in just one appointment for your convenience.

Our dentists and endodontists may recommend that a root canal for one or more of these reasons:

  • The tooth has become abscessed or decayed
  • The tooth has become traumatized or injured
  • Decay has reached the tooth’s pulp

A root canal will effectively restore your tooth without causing any problems with the surrounding teeth. In most cases, a dental crown will also be placed over the treated tooth for additional protection and aesthetics.

Apicoectomy

If a root canal has been unsuccessful, our oral surgeon may perform an apicoectomy to restore your oral health. Apicoectomies are done to reduce inflammation and remove infected bone structure and tissue. During the procedure, the compromised portion of the tooth’s root will be replaced with a small filling. In time, this filling becomes encompassed by your natural bone for the most secure and stable results.

Oral Surgery

Exposing Impacted Teeth

An impacted tooth is a fairly common dental problem. Many patients experience impacted wisdom teeth, but on occasion other teeth, such as the canines, will become impacted as well. At Arlington Center for Dentistry, we can expose and, if necessary, remove these impacted teeth to restore your oral health. One of our experienced dental specialists will carefully and expertly expose the tooth for optimal results.

Extracting Wisdom Teeth

At Arlington Center for Dentistry, we can extract the third molars, commonly known as wisdom teeth. Wisdom teeth extraction is a common procedure and is performed with the utmost care by our oral surgeon. It is highly recommended that wisdom teeth be removed in order to prepare the mouth for other necessary dental treatments, or when they are impacted, or if they cause any or more of the following conditions:

  • Pain
  • Damage to other teeth
  • Tooth decay
  • Tumors or cysts
  • Periodontal (gum) disease
  • Infections

Throughout the procedure, you will be monitored to ensure that you remain safe and comfortable. Schedule your consultation today!

Implants

For those who are missing teeth, dental implants can be a great solution. Dental implants are designed to replace both the root of the tooth and the tooth’s crown for a stable, secure, and natural-looking appearance. Through a series of procedures, our dentists will work together to place your dental implant as well as the implant restoration (the crown, bridge, or denture secured by the implant).

When in place, dental implants will restore the function of your bite, the health of your mouth, and the beauty of your smile. Dental implants do require healthy bone structure, so it is very important to consult with the dentist to ensure that you are a candidate for implant dentistry.
